When you register participants before polling begins, you are later able to identify responses by name, email, phone number or any other piece of identifying information you designate (e.g., student ID, personnel number). Then you can run Gradebook reports, track participation, and generally know who said what.
The easiest way to ensure everyone is registered is to restrict your polls to allow only registered participants. Any unregistered participants will be prompted to sign in when they attempt to access the poll. This is useful when you have to securely and reliably track participation – in classrooms, sensitive corporate events, and medical education programs. Poll Everywhere will never sell, rent, or otherwise share the emails and phone numbers entrusted to us.
