Inserting a survey with Poll Everywhere for Mac
With Poll Everywhere for Mac you can insert surveys directly into your PowerPoint and Keynote presentations. Follow the steps below to get your presentation deck set up and begin surveying your audience in real-time.
Step 1: Open a new or existing slide presentation in either PowerPoint or Keynote.
Step 2: Open the Poll Everywhere for MacOS app (if you followed the steps in the install article, it can be found in your Applications folder). The Poll Everywhere icon appears in your doc when the application is running.
Step 3: If you are not already logged in, the Login window will appear. Enter your Poll Everywhere account credentials and click Log in.
After you log in, the Poll Everywhere for MacOS app opens in it's own window separate from PowerPoint or Keynote.
Step 4: Click the title of the Survey you want to insert.
Step 5: Click the Insert button in the bottom right corner.
A placeholder slide with a mockup of your survey is inserted into the presentation slide deck. This placeholder slide is indicated by blue marks in the corners that tell the system where to display your activity. You are now ready to present.
Important Note: The notes section for the survey slide contains the title and a link to your survey that needs to stay intact for the activities to function correctly. Do not delete it. You may add information to the notes below the link if needed.
The survey slide will provide the response URL to your audience where they can complete the survey.
Helpful Tip: While presenting a survey, the live chart won’t show responses to individual questions. Rather, the slide will update showing audience members progress through the survey.
