Apple has introduce new security enhancements in macOS 10.14 (Mojave). The first time you run the Poll Everywhere for macOS app on Mojave, you will be prompted to give permission for the app to access to Powerpoint or Keynote.
If you accidentally selected “Don’t Allow” the app won't have the permissions to actually interact with your presentation application, causing potential errors or crashes.
Follow these steps to give the Poll Everywhere app the permissions it needs:
Step 1: Shut down the Poll Everywhere app and PowerPoint or Keynote (whichever application you were trying to use).
Step 2: Open System Preferences then select Security & Privacy.
Step 3: Click the Privacy button, select Automation from the list on the left, then click the checkboxes for PowerPoint and/or Keynote to give Poll Everywhere permission to interact with your presentation application.
You can now reopen the Poll Everywhere app and PowerPoint or Keynote and resume adding activities.
