Certify your phone number

If you’re responding to a poll via text message, you may need to certify your phone number. This allows your instructor to identify your responses. You can certify your phone number on PollEv.com.

Helpful tip: Certifying your phone number will also pair all previous responses from that number to your account.

Step 1: Navigate to PollEv.com. If you’re not already logged in, tap the hamburger icon in the top right corner to log in. If you do not yet have an account, click here to sign up for free.

Step 2: Once logged in, tap the hamburger icon in the top right to open the drop down menu again.

Step 3: Click the carat next to your name to show more options, then select Profile.

Step 4: On your profile page, click Certify next to your phone number.

Helpful tip: If you haven’t yet added a phone number to your profile, add your number to the text field (including your country code) and click Update profile. Navigate back to your Profile. The Certify button will now appear next to your phone number.

Step 5: Select Certify. You’ll see a page like this:

Step 6: Use the drop down list to select your country. If you don’t see your country in the list, select your region. For example: Europe; Asia, Africa, & the Middle East; or South & Central America.

Step 7: A number will appear next to “Text the word CERTIFY to…” above the drop down list. Text CERTIFY to this number.

After a few moments, this message will appear on screen:

You’ll also receive the following text message:


“Your number was successfully certified!”
